Our custom personalized satin ribbons are available in two types based on their weave: single-sided satin ribbon and double-sided satin ribbon.
Single-sided satin ribbons have a smooth, glossy front and a matte back. Due to their superior performance, wide applicability, and lower cost compared to double-sided satin ribbons, they are widely used in garment hangtag ties, standard gift box packaging, and printed logo ribbons.
Double-sided satin ribbons, on the other hand, have a glossy and smooth feel on both sides, a thicker texture, and a higher-end appearance. Therefore, they are often used in high-end gift box packaging, luxury and boutique brands, and decorative ribbons that can be displayed on both sides.
Generally, logos can be printed on both single-sided and double-sided satin ribbons, but double-sided printing can only be achieved through multi-color printing. Because the details of a logo printed in multi-color are not as clear as those printed in monochrome, we do not recommend multi-color printing; our clients usually opt for monochrome printing.

Selvage satin ribbons
For monochrome single-sided screen printing, we typically use a smooth satin ribbon. However, for 3D embossed thick printing and hot stamping logos, we default to double-sided smooth satin ribbon.
